Projects, Purpose, and the Puzzle of Life

Mixture of jigsaw pieces to be assembled into a project picture.

Projects don’t need to be chaotic – they just need to be thoughtfully assembled – myself

Projects are like puzzles. Each piece – whether it’s a task, a decision, or a resource – has its own place and purpose. Over the years, I’ve seen how the most successful projects are those where the team understands not just the individual pieces, but the picture they’re working to complete.

When we think about project management, it’s easy to get caught up in tools, charts, and schedules. But at its heart, great project management is about clarity of purpose: knowing why we are doing something, who it’s for, and what success will look like when the pieces fit together.

Life itself is no different. We each face challenges, opportunities, and moments of uncertainty that feel like scattered puzzle pieces. The goal isn’t to force them into place but to take the time to understand how they fit into the bigger picture of our lives.

This blog is my way of sharing lessons from both worlds – the structured discipline of project management and the more personal, human journey of piecing together a meaningful life.
